I am a pixel + print designer currently located in Syracuse, New York + a soon-to-be graduate of Syracuse University.
I designed the Syracuse Jobs matter logo and chose the color palette for the website.
I found inspiration for the logo through my initial research into jobs and poverty. I found that the breakdown of the job market is what leads to a breakdown across other sectors —housing, health and education, among others.
I wanted to visually represent this breakdown in the logo, while still adding an element of hope through my typeface and color choice.
